It's getting close to that time of year! Thursday is in fact my last day of school, which is very exciting for me... because that means next year I'm a senior! Finally...
All that's left is my Physics presentation on Monday, a Psychology exam on Tuesday, and two other useless days of school.
And then for my busy June of soccer games, community service project, soccer camp, and either Country USA or California film internship! (So sad that they're up against each other... but I really want that scholarship!)
With all that said and done, what does that leave for today? Possibly a story about filming? Why not! That's what this blog is all about anyways.
According to Rod's blog, (I love your blog, by the way, if you ever read this!) Michael Mann was spotted in Columbus... soooooo.... make your own theories!
Today's story will be... The Definition of Base Camp!
There seems to be some sort of confusion amongst my friends when I talk about filming and continuously refer to base camp. They give me funny looks, as if I went climbing on Everest and forgot to tell them or something.
Base Camp: The location at which the cast and crew keep everything, get makeup/hair done, the trailers are located here, as well as trucks and equipment. Also the best location to see behind-the-scenes hustle.
I hope that clears some stuff up. Now, I will include some of my favorite photos from base camp in Oshkosh and Columbus. These bring back some memories, I tell ya.
You may notice a hand reaching over the fence. That would in fact be Johnny Depp's hand. The joys of base camp revealed. (Oshkosh)
A conference of the police officers. It's time to prep for Johnny to do a meet and greet. One of the signs to look for if you're getting cold and weary from a 15 hour day. (Oshkosh)
Loading the Johnny-mobile. A look at base camp in Columbus.
A little story about Third Watch. Actually, this is more of some personal theories that I've had in the past about two certain characters and their relationships.
Cruz and Yokas. The archenemies of Third Watch. Or were they? I have just achieved rewatching season 4, and I noticed a few interesting little things. Firestarter-Cruz's first actual big role (unlike her 1 min. 9 sec. role in The Chosen Few), Yokas and her talked like normal humans to each other, only making a few comments here and there that weren't really meaningful. In fact, it almost seemed as if Yokas would join Anti-Crime along with Bosco. But then a few episodes later, Yokas had gone through some sort of switch, getting all suspicious of Bosco and Cruz breaking the rules (even though they were, not the point!). From that point on, Yokas hated Cruz because she "changed" Bosco. My quote today will in fact be about this little hatred, because it's kind of funny...
But what could have happened? The four-way shootout, in which Yokas SHOT FIRST, mind you. Yes, Cruz was threatening Yokas, but would she have actually pulled the trigger if Yokas hadn't shot? Family Ties part 2, Yokas saves Cruz's life. Or after More Monsters, could they have potentially have been friends, or at least not hating each other? Don't forget about Mikey being killed, which started the whole Donald Mann ordeal, Cruz and Yokas were both trying to help Bosco... together? Last, but certainly not least, Cruz went to jail to protect Yokas. I think it could have happened. I bet if Third Watch would have stayed on another season, something... Not exactly a friendship, but maybe at least a truce. Just my little ideas about stuff... I even had crazy ideas between seasons 5-6 that Cruz/Yokas would rule NYC together... but I'm about as crazy as my theories so, yep.
Not to mention the fact that Cruz always loved Bosco... my theory there...
THIRD WATCH quote of the day:
Yokas: Nobody should say anything about your little Anti-Crime girlfriend! Oh, my God.
Bosco: What? What?
Yokas: Oh, my God. She’s the girlfriend.
Bosco: No.
Yokas: You’re lying.
Bosco: I wouldn’t lie.
Yokas: You already lied.
(Sorry, really long, but REALLY funny)
THIRD WATCH fact of the day:
(I learned this one from John Michael Bolger himself) John Michael (Lt. Johnson) did his own body-burn scene, no stunt double, in The Price of Nobility.
THIRD WATCH picture of the day:
Cruz and a terrorist unit detective... fighting crime on a higher level. I think she might have been falling for this guy, too...
JOHNNY DEPP quote of the day:
I don't respond well to intimidation. Makes me feel icky.
-Secret Window
And how about a picture of Johnny!

Sorry it's been a day... nearly two. Been super busy applying for scholarships and studying for exams/working on school projects. Hopefully I can keep posting... tomorrow (or the next time I post) I'll be doing a little bit of Third Watch advertising with a full-scale review of John Michael Bolger on Third Watch! Also a little bit on Johnny Depp's biography I've been reading.
