Hello again!
It is I, your favorite Third Watch obsessor, back to tell the tales about Oshkosh filming...There was a barricade on Main...And it was beautiful! No there's no place like Oshkosh!Okay. So I'm listening to the Sweeney Todd Soundtrack and couldn't help but make a little parody :-)So... Once upon a time, a high school allowed a student to take off nearly a week of school to go to filming. Yeah, it was me! 40+ hours standing along the barriers, meeting some pretty cool people, and also some crew members. I can't think of much else to say about Oshkosh itself, besides that the sets were amazing. Take a look...
These are all pictures of the Main St. set. I couldn't get very close to the library set, unfortunately.
So that's my little bit about the set. Base camp was definitely an experience to see in Oshkosh. It was great just standing there watching, because everyone is always bustling about with costumes, equipment, tires, anything you could think of. Especially Red Bull. One of the best parts about standing out there long enough is you meet actors, and lots of them. Anywhere from extras wandering by to main characters would stop by and say hello. Take a peek...
Stephen Dorff
Emilie de Ravin
Chris Stolte
Wait a second. The giant chicken? Yes, he is in fact a celebrity. If you spent enough time in Oshkosh, that is!
Now what's this I hear? Where's Johnny? What a famous question that is. It's like Wisconsin's version of Where's Waldo. Except it's like a more advanced version that is virtually unsolvable at times... kind of like when you were 5 and were trying to do the Waldo puzzles. (In fact, there is a Waldo in Wisconsin, and I have in fact had to ask Where's Waldo? And how do I get there?)
And can someone please relay the message to all my friends that I do not have Johnny Depp's pants in my car? I have SOCCER pants. (Where on earth did they get Johnny Depp out of soccer?) But I do have pictures of Johnny...
I'm so proud to say that I took this picture prior to shaking his hand. Johnny Depp is a great guy for doing meet and greets like he does. I've heard of a lot of actors that would never do something like this.
That's a really fast summary of Oshkosh filming. I'm going to have to do a section about just base camp someday.

I think I need to do a little segment to advertise for Third Watch. I really feel a need to do that. Partially because the message boards on http://www.thirdwatch.net/ don't have much activity anymore. So here goes nothing!
Third Watch. The show about the shift from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. in NYC that follows the lives of NYPD offers and FDNY firefighters and paramedics. Originally aired on Sept. 23, 1999 (gosh, I hope I got that date right...) and had six seasons, ending fairly abruptly on May 6, 2005. (I know I got that one right.) Starring actors such as Jason Wiles, Coby Bell, Molly Price, Tia Texada, Skipp Sudduth, Anthony Ruivivar, Eddie Cibrian, Kim Raver, Amy Carlson, Michael Beach, Yvonne Jung, Cara Buono, Josh Stewart, Joe Lisi, Derek Kelly, Chris Bauer, Bobby Cannavale, Nia Long, Bonnie Dennison, and of course, John Michael Bolger, it made history as one of the most realistic and moving dramas on television. After Sept. 11, 2001, Third Watch did a nonfiction special called In Their Own Words, which won the Peabody award. (Is the fact that I did this all from memory a problem? And people said my "obsession" would never pay off!)
Third Watch season 1 is now (FINALLY) available on DVD. Mind you, there is a problem where Modern Designs for Better Living is out of order on mine, hope they fixed that by now! So please, if you were/are/want to be a fan of the show, buy the DVDs! Warner Bros. still doesn't know if they want to release season 2.
Well that was fun!
THIRD WATCH quote of the day:
Bosco: Do I look like an information kiosk to you?
I feel like doing a second one today :-)
Tommy: So, what kind of gun do you carry? Bosco: Loaded.
THIRD WATCH fact of the day:
Only one episode of Third Watch ever had a "viewer discretion advised" warning played before it. The episode was the Season 6 premiere, More Monsters.
JOHNNY DEPP quote of the day:
Everything in this room is eatable. Even I'm eatable, but that is called 'cannibalism', my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies. -Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
I love blogging actually! I used to get really bored with it, on my old Window's Live Space... which hasn't been updated in almost a year I just realized today. Maybe it's because I finally have something interesting to talk about other than school! :-) The only problem is I keep having stupid technical errors due to my computer having its own little issues. (Can computers PMS?)
Tomorrow... what for tomorrow... I guess you'll just have to wait and be surprised. Because I can't think of anything. Possibly my 3 physics projects that are due next friday? Hahaha. Only if you want to be bored to death...
